A Sawmill's Hope Kickstarter. At last!

The Kickstarter has come!

Please click over there and have a look, even if for nothing more than morbid curiosity.

To each and all of you who have offered advice along this way, thank you from the bottom of my heart. Hopefully this experience will result in me being able to return the favor! Thank you especially to Alex C and his crew who put together the Insecure Writer's Support Group. I learned so much from this site and from sites that it mentions!

Here's the vid... not quite as funny as the last one but more informative in my opinion.

Thanks for stopping by. I hope you all have a great Thanksgiving!

  1. You had me at muggle(seriously, that was when I decided to pitch in...)! =) It won't be a lot, and I wish it could be more, but hopefully it helps. =)

(consider yourself lucky for not having seen the first vid O_O )

  3. Hey dude - grats you! Super woot! Anybody who even half glances at that Kickstarter page will be able to tell how much painstaking work went into it - you have really outdone yourself. Please keep us posted on the view from the director's chair: I know we are too late to say we knew you before you were cool, but after you make it big, I at least want to be able to get all huffy and hipsterish with my secret behind-the-scenes insider knowledge!

    1. Tex!
Welcome aboard the Kickstarter! I can't wait to share the insider info. I know I'm quickly wearing this phrase then but you have no idea how much your support means to me.
Thanks for your help bringing this to life!

    1. Thank you! Coming from a fan of my earlier, less serious video AND a marketer yourself, that means a lot!
I hope I get you some attention, you deserve it.

  5. I'll come back and check out the stuff tomorrow when I can listen to the video and stuff. I'm thinking about running a kickstarter for my next book, so I'll be paying attention.

    1. Come check it out! My internal debate now is - I want to spread the word about the research and preparation I did in the hopes to enlighten others who are interested in the process. I put a ton of work into it and have learned a lot. But if the Kickstarter is unsuccessful, do I still share my "knowledge"? Or would that be the blind leading the blind?

    2. I think kickstarter is like writing: you can do everything completely right and still fail. There's too much luck and being in the right place kind of stuff involved.

    3. I agree (but not yet based on any empirical data... that's yet to come).
But having a successful Kickstarter sure would boost my confidence to speak confidently about it!
Either way I'll add the disclaimer - All information herein is the result of my own personal experiences. Similar results, whether for the better or worse, should not be expected.

  7. Your proposal is great! That's half the battle. Now to connect to some rabidly excited people (with cash of course) and you're set.
